The work provides corrections to original citations, spellings, authorships, publication dates, and type species designations of several genus-group names of Geadephaga listed in the world catalogue of generic names published by Lorenz (1998). A list of unjustified emendations is presented in Appendix 1, and a list of incorrect subsequent spellings, reported and unjustified emendations by Lorenz (1998), is presented in Appendix 2.
